The August guest blog post!
Everyone loves a bridesmaid.
Except Maddie, who is perpetually asked to be one.
Everyone loves a wedding.
Except Maddie's best friend who's getting divorced.
And everyone loves the way Maddie's so happy backstage.
Except Maddie herself.
One best friend is in wedding countdown while the other heads for a marriage meltdown. And as Maddie juggles her best chance at promotion in years with bridezilla texts and late night counselling sessions, she starts to wonder - is it time to stop being the bridesmaid?
In a nutshell this is the perfect summer read!
Always the Bridesmaid follows the story of Maddie who works in a massively underpaid job and spends her days working for a hideous boss, whom she has to cover for all the time due to her shortcomings. As if that isn't stressful enough her personal life is chaotic, her friend Lauren announces her engagement and then she finds out her other friend Sarah is getting divorced. All on the same night!
This book has alot of #awkward moments which many people will be able to relate to, as well as good old British humour throughout! This is the first Lindsay Kelk book that I have ever read and I think I will read more. It is a change from the normal genre of book a go for but still enjoyable as an easy summer read. - perfect for your holidays!
I have seen she also has stories set both in New York and Paris as part of her 'I heart' series. So I will have to check them out next.
Also, if you are yourself being a bridesmaid any time soon, perhaps read this for some tips and advice or just to get an insight on what NOT to be doing when on hen parties!...
